Football is the greatest sport on the planet I don't think anyone doubts it. Even if there are a few persons in North America mocking it. People want to see it, play it, talk about it day by day, week after week. Thus the reason for the huge football fields, the huge crows filling those fields, thus the reason for futsal – football played in a gym, thus the reason for beach football, thus the reason for video games like FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer, thus the reason for foosball.

Foosball isn't such great sport as football – nothing else is, right ? – but is known to be very entertaining and a great way to blow of some steam after a hard day a work. The foosball supplies aren't that hard to find, you can get them at any mall or supermarket. You only need a foosball table – this can be a little harder to find, but the Internet is large, the foosball ball of course and a lot of beer to drink between matches – juice, if you are under 21. These foosball supplies, like many other things come in different qualities, but the ones that professionals use can get very expensive and I haven't found a reason yet to buy them, because the quality of the game doesn't stand in supplies but in the players.

The standard foosball table with four lines for each side: the goalkeeper, the defensive line, the midfield line and the attack line. There are two goalposts at each end –like the real deal, and a place where you can take the ball after you scored a goal. Some tables come with to places for the ball: one when you take it after scoring a goal and one where you put the ball so it can go back on the table. These tables usually have a glass covering the table so that the ball won't fall out of it. I think this table is a bit more expensive and used more in foosball tournaments, but if you are serious about the game it can be a good acquisition.

Like football, foosball is a great game and it has the advantage that it can be played anytime, anywhere as long as you have your foosball supplies. So next time you are planning a party or thinking about having some friends over this can be a great way to spend an evening.
